Pendant Shade Choices

I'm having difficulties trying to find suitable pendant shades for the open plan living/dining room. There's two in a rather small space so they'll have to be a pair or something in the same range. I've sort of narrow it down to between these two (to get a pair of one of them):

I'm aiming for a Scandic/Industrial look, and the small hallway leading to the open area has this shade:

The main entry hallway also has one of the same shade, but in black. I'm not keen on using another similar one for the living/dining area as I want something with at least a bit of actual shade instead of completely bare. But I want them to yet somehow... blend/match?

Any ideas? Feel free to recommend other shades that you've seen that might fit the profile. As long as they're not bigger than 30cm across since I think that'll be too big for the space, especially with needing two of them!

The first photo would go really well with the other black shade you mentioned. Loved the Scandinavian style you are thinking about.

Also check out the lights below, something a little different.

These IKEA lights are quite quirky and nice also.

Oh, the Ikea ones are quite quirky, but unfortunately it comes with the chord and doesn't look like I can just use the shade only. My flat already has the chord installed and it would be a hassle getting it replaced. :/

Thanks for all the replies. I have the blind ordered so I cannot change this. However, if it were to be fitted to the outside frame of the window, it would be let down on top of the tap. I`m not planning on tiling, as we`ve recently repainted the kitchen. I am trying to attach some photos from this website to show examples of pelmets that may work. Is there a way to do this??

I think this is a really nice kitchen - you've done a nice job. The only thing that is throwing it off are the two different floors in dining and kitchen area. I'd like to see the same flooring continued through both areas. I think you'll be very pleased with the difference it makes. Since you do not like the wood or the tile, perhaps a porcelain 12x24 tile would work for you. It's very durable, so you wouldn't have to worry about the Newfies scratching it and very easy to maintain. You'd could opt for one of the wood grains on the market or one made to simulate stone. I think a greyish color would work well.

if you're not going to center the dining room table under the light, then I'd tend toward a flush or semi-flush fixture, to de-emphasize the alignment. You might want to remove the medallion from the ceiling too. As for the kitchen it looks like you have decent overall lighting -- maybe you're looking for a couple of pendants over the island? simple glass globes, maybe? here are a few styles to start you out.

Lovely, much better than the 3D plan. V glad you kept your patterned floor tiles, I really like them. It's all come together very attractively. The only thing I'd change and this is just because I'm a colour freak is the pendants - I'd probably have made those red and orange or something. But congrats really, it looks great.
