Bathroom design

Hi everyone. I have a Disneyland sign that I would like to put on the wall in our family bathroom.

I had thought I would design the bathroom around the sign but don’t know where to start! I thought maybe some pale blue tiles and a plant?

While it will be the kids bathroom mainly, it will also be for guests so would like it to look classy! Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

Hi Vicky, your Disneyland sign is very cool and we think Farmhouse style bathroom would fit best if you were to build around it. For playful but classy and neutral design, we suggest pattern floor tiles and maybe pale blue or cream metro tiles on the walls? Probably best to stick to half way tiling, to leave some space for hanging up the sign and other artwork to match. And then a nice wooden vanity with lots of storage. Thank you for the recommendation minnie101. We currently have 5 bathroom chandeliers available at VictorianPlumbing.co.uk. Adding a chandelier to your bathroom design definately makes a statement in opulence and luxury!

future proof / wheelchair accessible bathroom

Hello my parents live with me and my father has Louis body dementia, his walking is very poor and may end up in a wheel chair soon, I am building an extension ( starting in a months time) and am worried about my downstairs bathroom It is 2680 in length and 1829 width , I will have a pocket door , I have put together a plan on an app called home design. Ignore the finishes any help would be greatly appreciated. I need access in the bathroom for carer assistance.

Love the blue / grey of the sign with gold. I'd take my inspiration from that:-

I like this one the most, it even has the darker wooden floor which kind of reminds you of a wooden ship, and is a bit more 'antiquey' if you know what i mean!

Hi Vicky,

If its primarily a bathroom for the children, I'd get a bit playful with the tropical theme of the sign.

I agree that the colours are great and a light blue/grey with a patterned floor and timber vanity unit would work well, but you could add in a few subtle hints such as a botanical patterned section of wall or shower curtain, bamboo mirror etc just to give it that playful edge whilst still looking classy.

What a fab sign! I’d be sooo tempted to go with a tropical, Hawaii style theme but perhaps just in accessories. Coconut shell hanging planters, a huge palm, a bit of driftwood somewhere, maybe some cocktail umbrellas:) How about a lava stone or volcanic stone for the walls, I thought these tiles looked gorgeous: https://www.porcelain-tiles.co.uk/range/basalt-stone/
