Kitchen - Cute or Mixed up?
Comments (40)Mary, it has been a while since I read the comments. I think you can take your time with growing with your new decluttered kitchen. It is truly beautiful with just the changes. Don't go spend a ton of money, save it and go on a holiday to a state park or something you have always wanted to do. If your friends that you invite over for dinner don't love ...... well just coming over and visiting,.... then oh well. As long as you are happy, but no need to break the bank..... you did great already. I love it, if you do more, please share though? And to bamamom, I so agree with you! My own, awful, claustrophobic kitchen is LESS than 8 ft x 11 ft... yep that tiny and horrible. I have taken out the nasty, dropped ceiling and have the slightly vaulted original one now, but with pipes showing where the HVAC was put in after and then the repiped ones....... I did not know they plumber would do this, much less the others were there.... gag me. And no money to do it up even decent....See MoreLiving Room Lacking
Comments (11)i also wouldnt be too happy with this design, ist very boring, all Brown and tan... so. get some nice blues and teals for throws and cushions, maybe with bit of yellow in it a round or oval coffee glass table would work much better here and reflect more light, adding teal accents - vases, and Greens- artificial plants etc. rugs - some ideas - , get colourful deco accents on your fireplace mantel as well, no more tan ;) i love your clock, but i dont think this is the best place for it, i think a big nice artwork with some Pop would work much better here - clock could go to Foyer, staircase wall etc. artwork - good luck, hope that helped a bit....See MoreNeed help with the front of my house.

Comments (16)The pictures you have above the sofa would serve you better if displayed in a hallway or foyer or even in a larger collection of photos in a family room. You definitely need more color in this room and a larger area rug. The sofa and wall colors look the same on my computer, so I suggest you paint the walls a color that will make the sofas stand out more. I also would suggest you find a much larger, print area rug that contains an accent color and center it in the room. Perhaps you could find a large, colorful picture to serve as wall art and also as the inspiration for the color scheme and especially for the accent color I suggested. In addition to the rug, you could use the accent color in throws and throw pillows to be placed on the sofas. I also would like to suggest that you add a wide piece of white-painted trim above the windows/patio doors (whatever) and attach the metal rod to this piece of trim. The trim will add emphasis to the glassed-in space as well as to the dark-colored rod and curtains....See Morenmlondon
