Would love to get some help with my bedroom
Comments (16)i agree with most suggestions above. but dont remove your current rug because u can actually layer a faux fur rug over it. plus your rug has amazing rustic colours and u can use them as accents. maybe over time you may invest in new pillowcases/quilt covers complementing the colours of the rug..peach/mint/cream/ to name a few. may also add some mettalic cushions combo. you can always take them off if you want that summery feel in which switch to sweet pastels. a lot of pillows are important! lol! i'd get rid of the plant. the dressing table n side tables could be black (lacquer may be interesting)with gold knobs (think art deco). dressing table should be move to the side so you get more light and space near the window. maybe mirror can be placed against the window so ull also get natural light when you're admiring your reflection. ur room has an eclectic feel to it.. its great just needs some rearrangments thats all....See MoreWould love some advices on my bedroom
Comments (4)Hi Tatiana. As you haven't got an ideabook it would be great to have some idea on what styles and colours you like. The room looks lovely and bright, which way does it face? As the wardrobes are quite dominant I would go for something masculine in look but with feminine touches like the lamps, flowers, cushions, velvet, silk etc. so something along the lines of what I've pictured. If there isn't room for a sofa at the end of the bed I'd opt for a bed end stool. If you're not keen on 4 posters (although I might choose a simpler one) I'd consider a dark velvet bed with a feature ŵall or an oversized headboard. I'd also hang the curtain pole higher....See MoreHelp me decide on house extension plans. Would be so grateful :)
Comments (5)The "L' shape which extends further on the right will give you marginally more light into it - but this depends on the design of the roof and glazing - which is vitally important to the end result. I would consider putting pocket doors from the lounge into the kitchen (keeping the size as is) to allow the afternoon sun to be seen from the kitchen. This space might be a better option for the playroom - depending on the age of your children etc. I would put kitchen on the right hand side. Could you put a door from hall into the bike store so you don't have to go through the kitchen? Consolation prize for this orientation is that the back right hand side of your rear garden will hold the Summer evening sun the longest - so thats where to put the BBQ!...See MoreHow would you lay out this bathroom?
Comments (10)Hey rinked, Thanks for the idea. I had considered that before, but wan't sure about taking quite that much out of the room. It would be an extra 2-300mm but as per your sketch I hadn't thought about leaving the nook behind the door which lessens the incursion (and in the bed room that space could be used for storage too). We are moving the soil pipe to the side of the house to allow for the bifold downstairs, so the toilet on the outer wall as per your sketch would really be better. Of course we could use a pump or so, but that's not ideal. Bath drainage could also run out that side too. We are completely renovating the room, everything is coming out and it will be tanked and retiled etc, so seams aren't an issue. My main consideration for having the toilet and vanity on the other wall is to perhaps conceal the toilet with a false wall, and also so that the light from the window (extremely bright as south facing) isn't to the side when looking in the mirror. Thanks again, lots to think about! EDIT: Mocking it up, it could look something like below......See MoreResh
