Can the doors move? For example can the kitchen door move to the space marked “130cm” as that would give you some other options for kitchen layout.

Also would you be happy to change the double doors at the back of the sitting area (guessing these lead to the playroom?) into a single door, as that would make that space more useable.

A full GF floor plan would be very helpful to see what rooms there are around that one as that will help with alternative ideas...

So, you'll end up with three sitting rooms, a long kitchen/diner and no utility room? I'd rethink: what do you need, how will you use the rooms? An architect or a concept planner, for example https://www.houzz.co.uk/pro/oneplan/oneplan , will be able to get the maximum out of the space and your budget.

I actually like that it's not squared off. Makes for a cosier space and easier to allocate functions to.

Thanks again Tani, it's actually the dining room that is the conservatory. It was another 10k to go further out, which we just don't have, and like Carolina we actually quite like the shape.

Carolina; we had thought about that, but currently the middle room ('snug') is a playroom and we've created a utility space under the stairs opposite the cloakroom. The front room is the grown up lounge and has the TV in it. We were looking to create a space that would work for when we have friends over to sit, eat, cook etc so we weren't separated. Will have a good look at the link you've posted :)

Hey James. I would put a the kitchen units in a 'n' shape at the top of the kitchen with a seating area at the bottom. Much better use of space.
