Comments (7)Hi Shelwal, Garden Rooms can be a good idea. You would get your extra room and depending on what you decide on ( size/style/final use etc), most can be built under permitted development rules, so no planning permission would be required. We build ours with Structurally Insulated Panels (SIP) panels, so they are quick to erect, cheap to heat and last forever. If you would like more information, please have a look at our website http://www.jmlgardenrooms.co.uk or let me know and we can have a chat.... Comments (9)I think the design of the exterior has real 70s integrity. A bit of paint is all you need. Replace the garage doors with floor to ceiling windows matching the aesthetic the current windows already have. You should check out Cocontest.com for architecture work, or you could try and find an interior architect (there are degree courses in interior architecture these days) I've seen loads of one plan's posts and it would definitely be worth having a chat with them. I also think that you'll get more out of the project if you can educate yourself a little on design. I do my best to do this over on www.houseplanshelper.com...See MoreBungalow flooring

Plus it would most likely be me cleaning them every day! So it will be wood floors for us....See MoreBungalow renovation
Comments (6)What direction is it facing? that will have a huge bearing on the layout. I also would question the large Living area in addition to the family room. 1700 is perfectly adequate for a bathroom but another 100mm in width would be better....See MoreShabby Bear Cottage
