Dream Living Room

I absolutely love everything about this living area. Can you tell me everything about it? The rugs, the furniture, the flooring (and I guess not the lighting...bummer, because it's so beautiful). Thank you so much. Love your work, but I'm in South Carolina.

Hi! The rugs are layered, the rug is very old and not made anymore. The rug below it was an old PB rug. the ottoman was custom made in navy blue and the sofa was a tan linen.

I agree - paint or paper the chimney breast in that burgundy/red shade of the fire surround tiling. Your curtains are lovely - methinks I'd be choosing a throw to match for the sofa + chairs, and I see you already have red cushions to accessorise.

A15) @Dara Cooke: If you can't afford a quartz or granite worktop from day one then I would recommend using a laminate worktop as a temporary solution. If you don't put tiles up as a backsplash then replacing the worktops can be relatively easy in a couple of years.

Hi, I think any of those 3 could look good, with white elsewhere as a contrast and bringing in some bright warm colours with cushions, throws etc. We repainted our house last year and used Farrow and Ball colours - Elephants Breath is very popular and looks great in our living room, we used their darker greys in our sitting room and hall. You can get Dulux to mix FandB colours so it works out cheaper if you like. I was afraid of it being cold or dark but love it!
