I think you may be onto something there Sam 'Frankenstein' curtains! When I was young, my mum used to simply sew and extra frill onto the bottom of our skirts in the '70's!
Yup. I had those too. And once I outgrew those they'd be turned into tabard tops made with the sleeves cut out and side seams unpicked. To be worn over a fetching polo neck jumper.
