Green kitchen units-what colour statement wall!?

I’m revamping my kitchen: we have Howdens Tewksbury Skye (sage green but sightly bluer) kitchen units. I’m thinking of doing all walls an off white colour, but can’t think what to do the chimney breast which houses our range master oven.

Does peacock green or teal go? Wanted a real statement colour

How about a deep aubergine, or even darker like the new Paean Black which has purpley undertones? I also think terracotta or coral or chocolate brown would work, especially if you have warm/wood accents. Or any kind of pink.

We just painted a color called "Latte" over the dark red walls in our place and we keep thinking that someone left the light on! It adds that much light to the place as the red was just sucking out any light in the place. Find a color you like more for that wall and repaint...and/or maybe add a ceramic tile backsplash? It will make it feel brighter in there immediately as you will get a lot of light reflection. I love the idea of sage green with your cabinets.

I'm looking for advise on what colour to choose in my open plan kitchen/dining, living space. Ideally I'd like to have the kitchen/dining area in a different colour to the main living area. The kitchen is contemporary, white units and white worktop with metallic grey on appliances. I would like to paint the kitchen/dining walls grey but I don't want it too dark for the room and then have a paint colour for the living area that would suit/fit well with grey painted walls. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!
