Trying to finish hallway!

We had our hallway painted and a new bannister installed months ago however I’m struggling to finish the hallway off, especially the entry area. It’s not huge. Originally I wanted to put a bench as you walked in but realise most are too deep. So thinking of a slim console table or the Ikea shoe rack? Shoe storage is an issue as everyone dumps their shoes in this area. Otherwise the console with a basket for shores?

We have this storage bench from habitat in our hallway for shoe storage. It’s 44cm deep but it looks like you have enough room for it.

How big is the porch as i might be tempted to put shoe storage there and go for the console idea which would look lovely. Cox and Cox also have some good storage solutions and Benches which are fairly narrow that you could dress up. I've just attached the link to one but I would have a look through

Paint the doors black matt and the fames cream add silver crome door furniture. Huge silver mirror above the covered radiator then add a runner of any colour you like and match it with the lamps and lighting. hey presto done.

thanks both & sorry for not getting back sooner. Appreciate it! unfortunately, while lovely, glass panels are going to be too expensive as is upgrading the doors/walls upstairs (realistically we would have to take down all the upstairs walls and start again to make any difference). But thanks. Obviously if we do enclose it will use a glazed door at the base (the rules about the size of landing you need don't seem to be too strict here in Ireland - must have 40 cm from the base step completely free) so we are thinking door at the base of the stairs opening towards the front door. My sister in law however suggests using the entire width between the front door and the stairs as storage, fairly similar to now, but with a door opening out into the kitchen. still thinking. thanks again for your input anyway.

For an overall sense of a dramatic colour change I'd suggest using Crown paints room painter app. It wouldn't be accurate for exact shade like a tester pot is but it might give you the confidence to make the change! Take a good photo of your room and try it out. It can be tricky to use when there are lots of items you don't want to paint e.g. kettle, so best clear any clutter first.
