Golden oak bedroom

I’m in the middle of refurbishing the guest bedroom and I would appreciate some advice on a colour scheme of the bedding, curtains and possibly carpet. The side view of the bed ,which is shown in white, has been replaced with the same oak. I would like to keep the walls white. Thanks guys, would really appreciate a more creative eye on this.

Another option is to paint the walls to a similar shade as the wardrobe so it blends in. Comments (4)Thanks Patricia - I like the lemon. Would navy work do you think? I really don't want the room becoming too - pastel or feminine. As for furniture -literally the bed is all in the room and the bedside tables. A walk in robe is adjacent so any other furniture can be added for fun as opposed to function. 5 years agoHi Mark, no expert but I think the the key thing you need here is lighting. The fitted units look fairly modern in style, are they handmade? Was thinking that some under cabinet lighting would look good and also service as a reading light freeing up the side cabinet for other things. Ikea do some connectable LED strip/spot lights that you can plug in I think. I would also put in a false panel painted in the wall colour with access hatch in front of the plug sockets just to tidy that area up and keep it looking neat. For decor I would have plain neutral roman blind instead of curtains outside recess, sheer white roller blind inside recess if you need privacy, white bedding and use a throw and couple of cushions if you want to add a bit of colour.
