Hi, lighting should be placed directly in front of your face. If the light is placed above you it will cast a shadow. The most luminous part should be mounted at eye level—about 5’6” off the floor. Adding a center ceiling piece will complement the vanity lighting. Warm light at 75 to 100 watts per side bathroom fixture will provide the bright, even illumination you need. The light should be diffused and clear, so you can easily see.
