You have to try quite hard to stain them but if you leave very high coloured things on anything white the colour will transfer eventually. So wipe up spills- particularly curry, red wine, beetroot etc and you will be fine.
As far as damage nothing is indestructible but they are one of the hardest wearing worktops available. The harder choices are ultra hard surfaces like Dekton which costs more than most quartz.

I've had white quartz (with a speckle) for 3 years now with no issues. Even dropped the odd pot on them with no effect. I always wipe up my spillages straight away but who wouldn't? :)

Hot pots should stay on the stove, on a stone/metal trivet or on a thick butcher block that can be scorched and put away. The heat from hot pots and pans can discolor whatever is on/in the granite (sealers, cooking oil in the porous surface), cause seams to open on engineered stone and solid surface tops. Suggest your read the Use and Care Manuals published by the manufacturers available on line.

Is it too late to change your order to a white shaker kitchen instead ? Add a simple white/ grey marble top then paint your walls with colour - and you can easily change the wall colour if you feel like a change next year !

I really like the clean lines of your kitchen , it's beautiful and I would not add to much colour but you could use some accessories with green and white that would compliment this minimalistic kitchen. For example adding a bright green plant/s or an accessory the same colour as the clock on your top wall can put everything in a nice perspective!

They do - but you really have to try! Before we committed to our white with grey veining quartz tops we subjected a sample piece to a barrage of scientific (ahem) tests :-) Our findings showed that ketchup, vinegar, balsamic vinegar, mustard, red wine & black coffee could be left on for days and not leave a stain.... (though with my slight-OCD tendencies that would never happen in real life!) The only thing we found which left a lasting impression after being left to sit for a week was Franks Hot Sauce! Obviously every manufacturer and every piece will differ slightly, but we figured it was good enough for us based on those results.

When we chose our worktops I originally had planned a white quartz. I got some samples and imagined my Mother coming over and I tried everything that she may do...
I used them as cutting boards with the sharpest knife to cut lemons and I put a boiling hot pan on them. I left curry stains on for 1 week. The only one that came out unscathed was dekton.

These are the samples, dekton is on the left and you may see the burn marks on the others.

My main issue with dekton is that it can be fragile if something is dropped on it from a height. When we had it installed it broke as the guys were installing it so a week after we got a new worktop and it’s been perfect ever since.

We are more relaxed when my Mother pops around and offers to make a cup of tea now...
