I’ve run out of steam and inspiration for the paint colour for our living room. It’s Not th brightest room and wanted it to tie in with our kitchen style
so the house wasn’t too mismatched.
What do you think? Any suggestions at all?
I’ve attached some pictures of our kitchen and a possible sofa. Thanks :)
Go for a light shade of grey as it would tie in with the monochrome kitchen and looks good when the rooms are north facing, there are also some other earthy tones like oxford stone in farrow and ball. Or if you are up for it go for dark moody shades in navy or greenish greys
I wouldn't go for a pale grey sofa because in my opinion it restricts the paint options in the living room. If it's a gloomy room then some greys could make it gloomier. If therefore you wanted to choose a warmer wall colour the pale grey sofa could look a bit odd. I would opt for a tan sofa or a warmer linen colour and this opens up paint options.
I second Cornforth white from Farrow & Ball. I have it in my north facing living room, we have a bay window like yours, it is a lovely warm grey, makes the room feel cosy. We have Pavilion grey in our south facing lounge and this too is a lovely colour. We also have a grey sofa with our pavilion grey walls.
