Odd terminology in the field of Shutters

It can be rather confusing when a word you thought you knew the meaning of means something quite different in another field.


Here is an example from the field of Shutters. Do have a look at this article:


"There is a Mousehole in my Shutter!"


* Have you come across any examples like that when dealing with other professionals?


* Have you had the experience of not quite understanding what a word truly meant?

    Homonyms are everywhere but I tend not to keep track. TLA,s are worse.

    I completely agree about TLAs. A while ago I was talking to a client about IVC (Integrated Fabric Control) and they thought I was referring to IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation)!
