Suspended ceiling advice and pics

Hello,

new to this...

just wondering can anyone give me advice on suspended ceilings how to do them, i am currently doing a self build.

i have done suspended ceilings in Australia for 4 years but i wanted info on materials used here on them, in Oz we used 50mm metal stud framing and Top hat, we used to screw the framing to the concrete and then drop hangers (50mm angle) from the hollow-core to the frame and then screw the angle to the frame for support.

any help would be appreciated

Hi, I have the same problem in my hallway. If your budget is tight, just replacing the ceiling light with something like a starburst pendant with at least 6 bulbs would instantly improve the space. Also I would hang some bold and bright artwork on the walls and put a runner on the floor. Mirrors are also great for your space. I'm attaching a photo example. See how the eye is instantly drawn to the bold door? Also if you can repaint the wall, I would recommend you to use glossy finish paint so the light can bounce off the walls too. Lovely, much better than the 3D plan. V glad you kept your patterned floor tiles, I really like them. It's all come together very attractively. The only thing I'd change and this is just because I'm a colour freak is the pendants - I'd probably have made those red and orange or something. But congrats really, it looks great.

Hi, it's a lovely room and you only need to make a few minor tweaks. The two accent pillows in brown in front of the bed pillows need to be removed. They are too large and shapeless. Remove the brown throw. Your bed linen is lovely next to the grey wallpaper. If you'd like accent cushions, I would go smaller, tailored and something with an a print in grey and white or a colour that pops. The grey objects on the side tables are lights? I would replace these with a silver base and white shade. Remove the objects from the window. You could add a mirror either over each side light or a rectangular version over the bed. Here's my room with a similar colour scheme. Have fun with your decorating!
