Kid room redecorating

Hello all, i need ideas for furniture/decorating/editing/colouring kid room. Its for 8yo girl. Is a big and and light room and its nice but i have a feeling like its empty and it could be more interesting, im just not creative at all, so i would preciate all help and idea i can get.

Perhaps paint the niche and the low wall purple. Using orange accents.

I've placed a tall mirror behind the door.

Her interest... Tekvondo, music, school, owls, unicorns, colouring, shells.. Favourite coulours purple and orange. She is gentle and apsolutley emotional, but she is a taurus :)

My thought is to keep it more open for different ages. Tweens and teens will find the cartoony images too juvinile. I'd go with fun colors to appeal to different ages and genders. Is the room small, or is the child small? For all bedrooms, a comfortable and safe bed for the age of the child is the first priority. If the child is old enough to talk, ask what colors and things the child would like in the room. You do not have to DO everything the child wants, but it is always a good idea to work together.

A few ideas, but would help to know more of her interests. Ask your daughter, maybe you could work together to design and draw some ideas.

A bit of a risky idea but depending on your budget and flexibility how about letting her decide what she wants.? colours soft furnishings etc. We allowed our 7yr old to do her room last year. See below how it turned out.

I think I'd move the bed to where the wardrobe is, with a bedside table and a lamp. The wardrobe could to the wall where the cubes storage is. Desk could possibly go on the wall where the bed now is?
