Comments (6)I'm thinking a warm gray...it would accent the mirror and go beautifully with the color of the fire surround and the gray floor. You could do the chimney breast (the bumped out wall) in a slightly darker shade that the other walls. As noted above, look at the Affinity Colors from Ben Moore as your inspiration, then you can look at other manufacturers. Comments (8)I would go for a stone colour so not too dissimilar to what you've got. Little Greene does a good stone colour too but will work out a bit expensive. This is Oxford stone by farrow and ball. Comments (4)Thank you, Stan, for your advice. I was contemplating putting a similar light like yours above the cabinet, but decided I prefer lights on either side, as there is a lot of space which I'd like to fill a little. I will also put them on top of tiles, so another point to consider. The ones I had chosen only protrude 90 mm from the wall, so I wonder if they should protrude at least the same as the cabinet, which is 150 mm, to illuminate the face, when putting on make up or in general. Here is a picture of the lights I really liked...and another one in a room situation ( not my bathroom), but they are next to a mirror with minimal depth. I like them a lot, but am open to other options, just wondered about projection....See Morerpikett

5 years agoDon't know which Caramel Latte you've used, this is Dulux, with Raven Plume and the carpet is Cormar soft focus petal blush. Looks good on my screen, but it might be different in real life.

5 years agoHi, yes I agree you should choose the paint colour last. Much easier and cheaper to change wall colours than furniture. My friend chose a mixture of caramel blush 5 and caramel latte in her hallway. She chose the flooring and stair carpet first then matched the walls to it. She did the painting whilst waiting for the flooring to be fitted. It does have a lovely warm feel to it. Here’s hers

5 years agoDon't know whether you're a man or a woman, but if you want a softer, more feminine look, Dulux Heart Wood could be nice. Lovely with natural wood furniture, cream sofa. Anyway, if you want more to the point ideas, we need to know what you like and photos of the room would be very useful too :-) You can add them to a comment under here, if you like.

5 years agoBut, even though we have no clue what the room looks like, here are some ideas. Maybe it works for you, maybe it doesn't. I've just had fun putting some things together, while waiting for the photos ;-)

5 years agoIf you decide to go for an accent wall, I would still suggest a dark blue/grey. And a light carpet and good quality vinyl in the kitchen that doesn't contrast much with the carpet. Unless you are allowed laminate or a luxury vinyl floor, which you can both lay in the living area and in the kitchen.
Since I like putting things together, I did another 'mood board' for you, with a cream sofa. Maybe it helps you with making your choices. Good luck :-)
Oh, don't know what you're planning in the kitchen, but it looks like the caramel latte would work on the wall there too.
