Need a porch?
Comments (9)Garden design on line thanks for your graphics we have a similar deck structure to the side of the house- its more protection from the elements we need at the front of the house. Dyctecture i had considered a floating canopy but couldn't visualise how it would look- thanks for the mock up. But I do need more shelter as we live in the west coast of Ireland and the weather here can be pretty wet and windy!! This is the main access to the house and on a wet day the entrance hall can get very wet. Gildaville, I like the idea of following the existing triangle shape but definately need a roof- i just can't visualise how it would look and what material it can be constructed from. I really appreciate your replies....See MoreNeed help for kitchen/living/dining area
Comments (8)Oh wow! Thanks everyone... So so much... I would never have seen some of the things that you have pinpointed. I have already got the cabinet and under cabinet lighting, it was turned off when I took the earlier shots. I totally get the suggestion to remove the cabinets etc near the window but would prefer not too just yet... I am back pocketing that for next year! I will add some items on top of the cabinets, and the artwork that you suggested too in the meantime. The window seat I had in mind was for the living room area, instead of the two seater. Would that look better than the two piece, with colourful cushions, and if so should I add a built I cabinet for the tv (right beside it) in the same painted wood colour as the window seat? Also should I put curtains either side of the window seat if I opt to go with that, or stick just with colourful roman blinds? I will look into fixtures for lights and have already started the fabric hunt for curtains/roman blinds/ cushions etc. Also, what colour would you recommend to accessorise the room with?...See MoreHi, Does this painting work here and does fireplace need a mantle?
Comments (4)I like the painting, but the wall looks a little top heavy. Paint or tile inside the space behind the fireplace box. It needs to be black so it looks like it takes up that whole space. If you want to do a mantle, just put in a simple white shelf (like a floating shelf) that goes from one bookcase to the other. If you put in a mantle, you can continue the dark color out to fill in the space under the mantle, or add some molding under the mantle on each side of the fireplace & paint it white like in the 2nd picture....See MoreNEED help with my exterior colors and siding
Comments (6)Do not paint the brick!! It's part of the homes appeal and its style. Change up the stucco color to a warm gray as well as paint the fascia boards a more appealing color also (deeper charcoal or similar) a grayed green would be another option for the stucco. As long it all works with both the roof shingle and the brick these are colors worth looking at. Another option for just the gable end would be cement board shingle (Hardieboard or similar) if you want a change from stucco....See MoreLéa+Box Interiors
