When do you put up your Christmas decorations?

Christmas is getting ever closer (EEP!) and there are many things to think about, including all the furniture you need, not to mention cutlery, crockery and glasses! BUT, when should the tree be put up and the house decorated?
Everyone seems to have different suggestions on this.
What's your preference?!
Mine's already up! The sooner the better!
Wait until at LEAST the 1st December.
The later the better (Who likes all that clutter?!)
