Hi. I would open the kitchen to the lounge creating an L shape, opening up to the old lounge door. I would then close the current entrance to the lounge and build in a decent wall of storage. I personally would leave the garage as I use ours allot. My hubby needs the space too for woodworking and bicycle storage.
Hi Neil. That is a nice layout to work with; I think you’d probably consider simplifying the layout a bit more and see the results. You could make the dining/lounge narrower, thus enlarging the hall. After that maybe separate the dining lounge to two areas, Open kitchen and dining, as well as a lounge area. The toilet also looks narrow and you can consider increasing the width and adding
a wash hand basin. Please see my attached drawing for a simple illustration of the same.
Do let mw know if you need any assistance, I'd be more than happy to help further. You can email to ed.rogers@betterspace.co or through out site.
