This desk is around 1.4 meters long. It is an original mid century Danish desk.

Hey Oldholly, Are you changing the glass to clear or keeping them frosted? If you are keeping them frosted, would you consider aluminium venetians? You can add a bit of colour if desired but with them, you can also allow light in while covering up the frosted glass. If you are changing the glass, you could consider roller blinds or roman blinds both adding a touch of class if the right fabrics are selected. What size round mirror over my fireplace?

Hello there. I’d like a change from my over mantel mirror which I feel is out of proportion. The width of the mantelpiece is 140cm and the height from the mantel shelf to the coving is 108cm. I’ve got my eye on this one from Laura Ashley which comes in either 60cm or 100cm diameter. I’m drawn to the larger size but that will mean probably resting it the edge on the mantelpiece because of the restriction of the ceiling height. Would this look odd with a round mirror and do you think it would even suit my fireplace? Many thanks.

What size dining table to buy

We are building a vacation home which is open concept. The dining table area back wall is 10'7" wide. When facing the dining area there is a half side wall that comes out which is approx 6' that opens to the the living area and another small wall approximately 3' that juts out on the right side. I'm in the process of buying a dining table and want to make sure that there's enough room for chairs to be pushed in and out and access to the back of the table. I love a table that is 88" long but I think it may be too long. Any help would be appreciated.

Sofa shape & size in snug area

I have a snug area off my kitchen/dining space for the Tv & seating. i am looking for the right sofa, looking at corner units to suit this space yet give us comfortable seating for 4. the width of the area is 2.9m & my length is open but less than 2.4m as it will impact on my dining area. Think the best option is longer sofa side to the right, against the glass & shorter side across the tv. I need to be able to access the seating & want to keep the height low & preferably not a sofa that goes to the floor so that it has the appearance of making the room spacious. another option is to fill the space for a sofa so you maximise the seating but I still need to access the sofa. Any advice please on what type to use modular, corner etc and type & size
