From Dumping Ground to Designer Garden
This very awkward North London courtyard transformed into a haven away from city life.
The clients were already using it as a car parking space but wanted an integrated bike store, a bin store and a comfortable seating area.
They also wanted to conceal an untidy dumping ground under their stairs.
The bike store has a green roof and is integrated into the painted fence panels.
The made to measure fretwork panels create beautiful shadows and by night concealed lighting make for a dramatic entertainment space.
The awkward L shaped space is zoned to create harmony and privacy.
A visualisation with the lime green and plum planting palette. An irrigation system is installed for a happy garden and happy clients.

Comments (19)The rules may have changed but when we built our extension the wall adjoining our neighbour had to be completely within our own boundary. It looks as if your neighbour has continued along the party wall and therefore half the depth of the wall is on your land. It might be worth getting a chartered building surveyor to check it out as otherwise it may cause difficulties when either you or your neighbour come to sell. If I'm wrong about this maybe a professional on here could correct me.
