What to do about bathroom vanity?

Hi, I'm building right now and struggling to decide on what to about bathroom vanities. I have a guest w.c., en-suite and main bathroom with double sink area to do. The selection in shops are doing nothing for me, apart a vessel sink on shelf combo, but that would leave me without storage. The house is modern but I dont want gloss units. I like the look of real wood but the selection in shops are more suited to older houses. I asked a kitchen maker if he could make something in wood, but with modern flat panel door - rather than shaker - but he said
real wood would warp and only does veneer. I've asked him to quote for same but not sure now. I've seen so much I've confused myself and now I'm second guessing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Mary, I am very glad to hear from you. I think of you often. It hurt me terribly when that unthoughtful person said what she said. I can only imagine how it must have hurt you. I would love to see how you have decorated for Christmas. I am almost certain there are differences between how our 2 countries do it. Tastes change with time - and fashion promotes the latest trends so that eventually what ever you choose could look dated... It's what keeps business going - so maybe only tile where it's needed... Personally, if I were choosing for myself, I'd choose plain white in the largest tile with absolute minimum grout as I hate when the grout looks old / grubby as always happens . Then I'd add colour with towels that could be changed to give a different feel when I fancied a change if you see what I mean ! That's my taste - yours could be totally different ! There's loads of beautiful pics on Houzz - best idea is to do a bathroom search and see what appeals to you ! Then think is it practical ? Can I afford it ? Will it suit the house ! If you are doing the floor too - adding underfloor heating is a lovely way to keep an ambient temperature and- let's face it - it's kinder on bare feet too !!

Hi. I hope you don't mind me saying but removing one of the bathrooms may potentially devalue the property even if they are small. Removing the bath may also alienate any families when it comes to selling. Maybe check with an estate agent unless this isn't an issue for you. Have you thought about combining a bath with a really decent shower? Luxury hotels often do this. In terms of style, what is the rest of the house like? Look at the light in the room for colours, you can go dark but combine with really decent lighting. If you like blue, why not try navy and white maybe with some bright accessories? Navy is very on trend at the moment (and a classic bathroom colour!) but can't find a great bathroom image. I personally would go for something fairly classic with a couple of contemporary elements.

Also, do you really need a bath in it? You could stick in a 1500mm shower along the right hand wall but back towards the door then a toilet and sink opposite each other under the window. Loads of natural light at the sink (could even be a double sink) and plenty of room to move around without it feeling too cramped.
