main ceiling lights for traditional dining room and kitchen
Comments (6)if you're not going to center the dining room table under the light, then I'd tend toward a flush or semi-flush fixture, to de-emphasize the alignment. You might want to remove the medallion from the ceiling too. As for the kitchen it looks like you have decent overall lighting -- maybe you're looking for a couple of pendants over the island? simple glass globes, maybe? here are a few styles to start you out....See Morelight for traditional kitchen
Comments (1)The way we fix this problem when making our custom lighting is to make our top canopy large enough to go in the center, but to be able to cover the junction box. You can use any of our pendant lights and we can put multiple ones on a single canopy to go over the island. A single long canopy would probably look best. You can make it with about 2 or 3 pendants for a simple look, or multiple pendants for a full chandelier, or a single long pendant depending on the style you like....See MoreNeed more colour advice to tie living room and kitchen.
Comments (2)The protruding wall around the fireplace needs to be wallpapered or painted with dense motifs or tiled with stone/brick textured tiles or ply. Re-doing your fireplace will drastically change the look of your living room. See photos below. Consider painting the frames of your doors and sliding doors in the living room and kitchen a dark brown to match the floating shelf over the fireplace. Do not decide what you want to do in poor lighting as you have provided in the photos. Wine is a good color to consider. Also think of darker colors like plum and have different shades on each wall (from the same color family). So maybe think of wine- plum- magenta or wine - oxblood-blood red, etc. whichever suits your taste....See MoreNeed help with Kitchen lighting

I am wondering what type of pendant lighting to put over island. I intend to have three pendants but cannot decide what will work. Thanks...See Moreabbycat9990
