paint colour with cashmere kitchen units?

Hi there, we are about to install a new kitchen & going with a cashmere kitchen, beigey/grey colour. Going for quartz counters & walnut floors. Just wondering what colour to paint the walls? The adjoining rooms in hall are elephants breath & Cornforth white in living room. Part of the kitchen is quite dark but other part gets good light. Thanks!

Im getting a kitchen installed in the same colours. What did you go with in the end please? I was thinking of elephants breath but im not sure yet. I need to get samples etc.

Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. Do make sure the colour blends with the lounge though as you can obviously see through.

Sorry I overlooked your question about the island. I don't know if it should be a contrasting colour because as I see it, the main feature of your kitchen is the gorgeous range. If you paint the island to match it, then the range will lose its impact. If it were my kitchen, I'd match the island to the other cabinets. If you were starting over, you could have had it made in stained wood, but with it already existing it requires a painted finish.

Hi.. have a look at the Colortrend colours for kitchen. You can use a darker version of wall colour for kitchen units also. Definitely paint them skirtings! hope this helps.. Tony
