What colour to paint island if kitchen cabinets,are elephants breath?

I have decided to paint kitchen cabinets elephants breath but unsure what colour to paint island. Any advice pictures,welcome.

Hi Paula, I am thinking of painting cabinets elephants breath and island either Charleston grey or London clay. What did you go with? I'm confused with wall colour, had thought skimming stone but don't want it to blend in with the cabinets.

The colour would depend on lots of variants. Such as what’s on the floor? how much light is there? Do you have a splash back what’s the counter top? That said would you consider painting the island a feature colour? Such as ink blue or emerald green? It would make your island a feature. Good luck

Paint the doors black matt and the fames cream add silver crome door furniture. Huge silver mirror above the covered radiator then add a runner of any colour you like and match it with the lamps and lighting. hey presto done.

I think it looks great so far. Many of the ads for claw foot tubs, and magazines, show them with encaustic/cement tile and plain white surround. Also, you did something creative and attractive with the tile layout. I love the nickel shine of your clawfoot legs too. If you can maybe get a corner shelf on one side of the wall, you'll have a place for soap, candle or bubble bath. And maybe hotel towel holder on another wall to get the height up. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

The tile is very pretty. I don't know if it is just the colours showing up differently on screen but the light grey appears to be a different tone (more purple to me) than your tile. If you want a light grey I would take the tile to the store and try for a better match. The dark color ties in nicely to the tile and could be very dramatic and stunning if the room gets a lot of light.
