Hi everyone, having trouble with the colour of the front door. We originally just sealed to coincide with the wooden decking but it turns out decking is Merbau and door must be Ash. Not sure now whether to paint or try to match to deck colour with stain. Walls are Dulux Linseed and all window surrounds are black.
Hi Wren, I would probably want to paint it a black gloss that works with your joinery and lights and contrasts nicely with your house paint. Already enough wood going on.
Hi Wren, what a lovely setting! I would be inclined to match the door colour in with the exterior wall colour. Include the casing, threshold and trims as well and this way you will end up with the timber, black and your main paint colour to give a better sense of balance. Good luck! Regards, Kathryn.
It would look fabulous hi gloss black, add some gorgeous pots and it will look beautiful , maybe a special chair to add a stylish look and a place to sit and enjoy your view...lovely.
