Can anybody give me advice on how to finish my hall, and what I can add to give it a cozy/luxury finish?

Hi,

great sized hallway!

If it were me I would hang one large picture over the table and maybe move the pictures already there to another wall.. a large chandelier or light of your choice would fill up the ceiling also a large rug for the floor would 'warm' the space nicely..Good luck!

If you have a red tile around you can take it to a paint store and have them color match it. Then go as light as they can, while keeping the same color tint.

Hello nicnoll, Another idea could be to have a wall light that is all about the bulb! A few links to both ideas.... Copper is good too... One other idea... have a rose with multi flex wires... centralised where the current one is.. Then choosing cable/flex and lengths.. run them along to where you want.. either along ceiling.. in loops with hooks to loop round and fix position, so then excess becomes a drop pendant to add something lovely.... Or you run them in loops across the ceiling to the opposite wall and have a wall light fitting but the electric cable comes from the one ceiling point. So less to do wiring wise.. Hi there! I have spent several days looking at how to complement the hallway of my new house, right now there is too much white going on. We will paint the stairs white and install a carpet runner with a herringbone patter as the one in the picture. The rest of the house is being decorated with a mix of Nordic, industrial and minimalist style. Im thinking on painting the door frames black but not sure if I should also paint the skirting boards black? Also im looking at painting the handrail, not sure if black or white? Im thinking of complementing it after with some green (hanging plants?) and wall decor ( walnut shelfs or mirror?) Im trying to avoid greys, blues and magnolia colours any idea is much appreciated :) thank you in advance!

We're in the process of putting up wood pannelling in the hallway. Total DIY job but I think my husbands doing great job! I've included pic of wallpanneling and the floor tile in our hall. We're thinking of painting panelling white and want to put wallpaper above panelling as walls aren't great. Would welcome suggestions on wallpaper choice! Thanks.

I thought the panelling looked nice.. I'm not sure if you want to go To that kind of expensive though.
