Food shopping habits can differ widely from person to person. With the option to shop online, some feel relieved of what they saw as a chore. For others, a food shop is an enjoyable weekly ritual.

we try & shop locally in our high street as much as possible. if you don't use your wee veggie shop, butcher & fishmonger they'll disappear. :(

I always shop in store but must admit, I don't tend to do a weekly shop, more of a grab and go!

Thanks for the explanation. Try a wall that is drawers up to waist high, cupboards above that. YOu can add pull-out cutting boards at waist height so that you can put things there when unpacking groceries and putting things away in the cabinets and drawers: Drawers will help but they will not increase storage space by a factor of two. You could also add drawers where the microwave is now and continue to keep the microwave on top. Here is another wall of wood cabinets: Although it will not solve your storage problem, I recommend that you pull everything out of the cabinets and drawers, one drawer or shelf at a time. Be flexible about storing things elsewhere while the children are very small. Or discarding "aspirational cooking" implements (egg slicers, orange zesters, martini shakers. lobster-shaped gelatin molds) that just haven't been used in years. Families with children tend to accumulate an enormous amount of plastic stuff. In six months or a year, they will need different plastic stuff!

Window shopping and lots of online browsing.! .haven't purchased anything yet!. Just getting house back in order after painting! I have put back the red/winey curtains that I previously had up...convinces me more to go with a neutral colour. The walls are rich Taupe but with a slight grey hue off them so I think the bottom left above actually might work. I have bedding very similar so I took them out and held up and think it would look very nice. Purple isn't a theme in my house (although I do have one bedroom painted purple/lilac) My sitting room is white red black and silver and living/kitchen room is tan and red. I want a rug that wont show up the dirt that much...I live in the country side and have lots of dirty feet coming in so I cant go for any rug that is too light in colour

Never been to Ireland but when I think of Irish pubs, I think of rich mahoganies and deep jeweltones. Something welcoming and friendly with a bit of blarney; steeped in tradition with a sense of humor. My quick net search has turned up exteriors of mostly primary hues but a lot is going to depend on what type of clientele the owner wants to attract. I'm not sure that color is going to be your biggest hurdle. I think style is and once you determine that, then choosing the color will follow fairly easily.

I wish we did have local produce stores, we buy meat from a local store, everything comes from the supermarket which I occasionally do online if it's a busy weekend, but generally do prefer to just go aisle to aisle picking as I wish...just allows me to make sure I haven't forgotten anything for the weekly shop although we do touch ups once or twice during the week.

do stuff like cupboard stables and things will freeze and cleaning items on line then get fresh from lidl mostly

Being disabled I find being able to do my weekly shop online invaluable. I used to use this service when I lived in a busy built up area, and found that it was just as cheap as shopping in town by the time you'd paid for parking. Now that I live in the countryside, I find it even more cost, and time effective, as it's an 8 mile journey to the nearest town. My husband then does a run once a week into town to pick up odd bits from Aldi as unfortunately they don't do an online food shopping service as yet. It is VERY rare to have a problem with short dates, or out of stock items, as there is a facility when shopping where you can indicate what you would like as a replacement should your item not be available. You can also request how ripe or otherwise you would like fruit and vegetables, so I really can't understand why you would want or need to shop in store anymore.

I do my shopping online for about 3 or 4 years. We have to buy an odd pint of milk or few eggs from a local shop only occasionally.

Online shopping for long expiry products and buying in bulk like toilet paper, water, detergents, canned products etc. It's easy, convenient and you can just re-order previous baskets. Saves a lot of time and effort.

In store purchases for meats, fruits and vegetables, so I can choose exactly what I want and have it fresh.

Veg and fruit boxes deliveries are also a neat option.

I personally really enjoy shopping online. I used this service before because I was often dissatisfied with the service. But after the outbreak of the pandemic, stores have reconsidered their approach. It seems to me that big supermarkets have started hiring special support. Something like outsourcing teams like here. Sometimes the guys were poorly guided by city addresses but quickly corrected errors by checking the data in the system. Small shops already devoted a lot of time to the quality of service)

I do a mix of the two, for fresh foods I usually buy locally from independent stores, I get milk delivered by a local dairy and then long life products are usually bought at a discount online or from one of the chain supermarkets, I buy almost all cleaning, toiletries etc online, same goes for electronics and other household items.

I mainly do in-store just because I like to pick fresh foods myself. I also find that online there is always something they don't have so I have to go to the shops again for it anyways

I adore sweets and often order them in online stores. My favorite candy is the Lindt Nocciolatte bar. I love chocolate combined with nuts. It is an incredibly delicate taste. In addition, I like to order sushi, pizza, hamburgers and other fast food. Although I usually go to a cafe or restaurant to eat fast food.
