Bedroom colour scheme advice
Comments (9)Hi Louise, In a room like this I always like to keep the walls and ceilings ( including the small door and frame 1 colour...in this case a lavender. I'd start by finding colour chips that have the same colour as the carpet, and then go a few shades lighter but in the same tome. All baseboards and door to hall should be the same colour as the iron beds...off white. With the walls a colour you'll be able to see the pretty pattern of the frame. OR find a small scaled pattern of any of the shades of purple and the cream same as the bed frame) with the same fabric. Make custom bedding to match. In a small room 1 pattern works well everywhere. If you go the paint route, try to find fabric with soft gold, lavender, purple for a skirted table between the beds if there's room. You can put it on a cardboard table and base...found in some fabric or craft stores. Top it with a thin piece of glass ( Pier 1) and away you go.Don't be afraid of colour or small pattern in a small space, as you are going for the impact. Have fun! Shaila...See MoreWall colour?
Comments (8)Hi Keith! It really depends on the mood of the room. If you want a warmer summery feel, you could pull out that light yellow tone in the pillows, that will go nicely with the grey. If you are looking for a cooler more relaxing room, then you go with the blue or a light blue/green like jtbino suggested. Good luck! :)...See MoreWhat paint color is this? (Roughly)
Comments (5);-) Thanks. Questions like that drive me bonkers. It's not just the laziness. I'm sure I see a different blue and beige (or is it tan, or ecru, or taupe?) than he does because I use a different monitor and have the screen set to a different color temperature than he does. Every paint company warns you about the lack of accuracy of the colors on their websites. That's the nature of computer monitors. And that's a studio set, with colored lights shining on it. Who knows what that color is? Or even which color he's asking about, sheesh....See MoreWall colour to match with gold hex tiles for bathroom
Comments (2)Got the bath for free. Builder literally moved the wall frame to accommodate it. Concerned it looks ridiculous as its a tight squeeze so any ideas of what I can do to make this bath look ok in the room. I'm going to paint the tub a different colour. Don't say get rid of the bath cos it's not an option!!!...See MoreSusan Davis
