Need help with my sons bedroom please

I have just stripped the wallpaper from my sons bedroom and the walls are not in great condition . They are plasterboard . Should I get it skimmed or just go for wallpaper again? Will skimming be very messy? I can't find any male wallpaper? The room is small about 10ft by 8ft. My son is twenty and doesn't want flowery wallpaper yet he wants a bit of colour in the room. The wardrobe is flush with the wall so won't take up floor space. There is a single bed and a tall boy in white in the room. help please?

Skim it and prime and paint it a manly color it can be messy but a pro can clean up after he is done

best thing is to go through some photos with your sons and ask them what they would like in the bedroom.

Thanks! Yeah I tried to rotate the bed so the headboard would be opposite the radiator but it meant the wardrobe doors wouldn't open. I may need to change the bed frame to include storage space alright but it would need to add height not width which is tricky to find ready made. I like the idea of a loft bed but since it's rented I don't think I could really do anything that involves attaching to walls...

I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool.
