Need help for my kitchen
Comments (38)A soft mossy or grey green would be my first impulse but Sarah's dark blue looks good. It depends on your kitchen ware. White porcelains will pop with the blue and earthy stoneware will go more with the soft greens. I'd add a shelf to extend from the cabinet across the tile and a pot rack or hooks over the stove....See MoreKitchen help!
Comments (6)Agreed- you need to get this right with a professional kitchen designer. But in my opinion you should be looking at a wider longer island. I would also block up the door between the kitchen and the front sitting room as I think it limits furniture placement in both rooms....See MoreNeed Help with long sitting room.
Comments (4)I'd put another set of sliding doors between the lounge and the playroom rather than a solid wall. Reason being is that it gives you more options. You get to sequester the mess and noise when you want and you still get a good flow later on when the kidlets aren't such mess monsters. I'd make both sets of sliding doors have full-length frosted glass inserts. That will let in the light. Or you could use shoji doors if that suits the decor better. From your plan, I'm assuming the house is semi-detached, so windows on the right wall aren't possible? Also, you might consider a pocket door from the hallway to the lounge and from the hallway to the utility room. That way you don't have to allow space for door swing....See MoreDepressing back garden. HELP!!!!!
Comments (5)What are we looking at to the right of the photo that's white? Get some annuals in the flower beds. Check the amount of sun you have and plant accordingly. You can mix vegetables and flowers. From your photo, and in order, I would get a canvas gazebo both to give you privacy from the neighbors and to block your view of their houses and the kids stuff. Mine had the canvas you could zip up AND screens. We had our table and chairs in there. It was really lovely and lasted many years. There are ways to stabilize them on the blacktop without drilling into it. Looks like you could use a new shed, I'm not sure the one you have is being used...See MoreRIA AY
