Kitchen hardware finishes with black stainless appliances

We are going with offwhite cabinets, dark countertops with stone offwhite ink, and black stainless appliances. Need help with metal finished for kitchen faucet and cabinet hardware please!

I suspect that this mix of finishes would support use of either dark (iron or oil-rubbed bronze) or light (brushed nickel or stainless) hardware. Look at some pictures and see which appeals to you.

We saw some great Amerock hardware at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) that would look great with the Black Stainless appliances. We especially fell in love with the Esquire line (gunmetal)- it seems a little more masculine, but very stylish. http://www.amerock.com/Products/By-Collection/Detail/cid/63/c/Esquire

They also have a bunch of other styles with the gunmetal finish

Thank you for your suggestions and ideas! I love some of the more daring/colourful ideas, but I don't think I'm, personally, bold enough to go with such a contemporary look. I'm going to stick to a traditional/modern style and use large (4" x 8") white subway tiles and dark grey grout. I'm thinking of using a dark grey paint around the kitchen walls and then a lighter shade around the rest of the room, with maybe the dark grey on the wall behind the TV too. Will be a few more weeks before that's all done, but I'll post a picture when I eventually get there. Thanks again!

Hi catbox/emerald18 - your kitchen is absolutely stunning - I love it - mostly because your style is the same as mine - only the tiles I've chosen are Henley Cool from Topps Tiles (sage green/blue). I've also had a few moments of indecision but I've had a picture and sample of the tiles pinned up for months and I still love them. I'd chosen matt slab style kitchen door fronts but I might be convinced by your photo to change to Shaker. I am also going for the wood worktop but can't decide whether to have a Belfast sink or not. What sink did you choose? I also can't decide on a splashback, but like white painted brick + something more cleanable by the sink and hob. Once again, I love love love your kitchen - I'm pinning the photo of it up with my tiles picture in case I get future wobbles about my dream kitchen

I have same tile, size but a lighter grout. I'm doing glass tile backsplash, under cabinet lighting to make it really pop. New hardware on cabinets, painting cabinets. New sink, can't afford new appliances. But your kitchen is larger, light and nice counter tops. Don't have a clue what to do, white Formica and it's cracking, ugh. I'm thinking of using indoor/ outdoor area rugs and runners. Please share if you find solution. good luck, doecreekgirl

Agree about the white door ...along with the floor ... Not sure .....if you are changing the lampshade .....light fitting ..... Simply ...things Like just changing cabinet handles ... changes a look .... Love the backslash ...yes really !!!! You.... (as already said ) Could just change the worktops ... Everything I guess is ..... Depending on your budget €€€€€€ But why .....change tooooo much ...... if it's not broken !!!! As the saying goes ... If it's not broke don't fix it ...... So - because I'm like a dog with a bone when faced with a challenge, we made a trip to Lowe's to compare knobs to the finish on the black stainless appliances. The finish is actually a little different depending on the appliance manufacturer (LG and Samsung in these photos) but the polished pewter complemented both perfectly.

I like the way our designer mixed wrought iron with brass with much the same as you are describing.
