    These look like olive or bay trees with grasses underneath. As beautiful as this type of feature is around a pool - it adds a problem with leaves falling into the pool and clogging up the filters. I wouldn't recommend it unless there is a sufficient barrier between the grass/trees and the pool surround.

    The planter is a masonry wall clad with sawn sandstone. Bluepools Ltd, the trees are evergreen Magnolias and don't drop leaves, but thanks for the advice.
