Need help to turn extra bed into a proper bed

The bed I have is similar to the one below but I want to make it an every night bed as it has a very comfortable base and mattress, but at the moment it seems too unsteady for every night use. I would like a headboard with legs attached and a base board with legs. The frame I have is wood so in theory it should be possible

That's a very good idea Christy, I actually have two white roses that are climbers but I will probably have to improvise on the trellis (link on an idea of DIY that would allow me to paint the frame purple as the edge of the flower beds http://houzz.com/s/m=7/u=L3Bob3Rvcy8yNjIwMjcz). Melissa, when I said footboard, I meant this. It has a portion of the bed that extends beyond the mattress edge. You posted a bed that had something at the foot section of the bed. By platform, I mean a bed that has a hard area and only a mattress on it. Like this. It does not extend beyond the edge of the mattress, but does not have a box spring. It is also lower to the ground. The picture you posted was a high profile bed and box spring. It was not on a typical bed frame. A standard bed frame, used with box spring and mattress looks like this. Virtually invisible and does not extend out beyond the mattress/box spring set. That being said, I'd recommend you get a headboard that is not too big for your space. Neither in height or depth (distance from the wall). I would also not get a mattress frame that extends beyond the size of the mattress. Sorry to have not been clear before.

Help needed with slanted wall in bedroom!

Hello, The masterbedroom in our new build will have a slanted wall (dont ask why...our architects notions!) I need your help to design the inside around this ‘problem’ and turn it into something nice. The only place the bed will fit comfortably is against this slanted wall. See below 'bedroom drawing' . We are considering a stub wall to make it even/straight again. Has anyone any ideas /pictures on how this could look? have a murphy bed size 7ft x 2 ft wide - its just a plain painted box-

this single murphy bed (bed in a press) is in my sitting room. its a plain painted box 7ft long 4 ft high and 2 ft wide . the front panel opens down and the bed is just there and ready for use. I want to improve the overall appearance - its just horrible- lacks style but I need the extra bed, had no where else for this in my house I was hoping to get ideas for a unit that looks attractive and stylish. I have an open plan sitting room and kitchen - terraced house, with the sitting room to the front. Its a long narrow room. can you please help me.
