I have two big dogs and a green acid stained floor. The finish is a matt so I can't seem to get it clean. I would greatly appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, can I wax it? should I put on a gloss finish? Is there a particular floor cleaner that works better than others? Thanks Niamh
What is the surface under the "green acid stain"? What has happened? Is it a specific area you are trying to clean? Are you looking for general tips or are you looking to remove pet stains?
Sorry I am not great at posting. It's a concrete floor with an acid stain/dye of green. The top coat is an acrylic based sealant so I imagine I can't use anything too harsh. The supplier says warm water should do the trick but I find that in daylight I can see smears from when I tried to mop it last....It's the whole floor really not any particular stain.
Contact your local decorative concrete supplier or cleaning supplier and ask for a neutral based cleaner. I would use that to clean it and you can also use a wax to go over your sealer which will give you a longer life for your sealer. Typically the wax will give you a high sheen if you are ok with that and after that you can try just using a damp micro fiber hard wood floor mop to clean the floor.
