Paint over or rip out the fitted wardrobe?

Hi houzz members,
Appreciate some advice what to do with these old badly made fitted wardrobe old fashioned and it include a boiler inside that i would prefer be more hidden away in wardrobe. should i rip it all off or be more resourceful with what already there to update interior with better quality ikea or other brand storage accessories, shelving and new clothes pole and paint over the exterior doors and add new handles. The gap under the wardrobe for shoe storage if i can box to fit in or closed up? Look forward to ye reply. Thanks in advance. :)
