Kitchen floor colour advice

Hi,

I have chosen my kitchen cabinets (cabinets on one wall, light silver/grey in colour) and an island (dark grey), and I am trying to choose which floor option to go with.

The choices that I have at the moment are: light grey, polished porcelain tile, or a light wood effect tile - see pics attached.

Which option do people think that I should go for? What factors should I be considering (other than colour!)?

I like the wood effect tile. If properly placed it might give the impression of an actual wood floor. Well apart from colour i guess one would have to conisder how easy they are to clean with stains and all. But more importantly how slippery they are when dry, when wet or when there is a little bit of oil on it.

Looking at this picture I would certainly go with the wood effect tile. As mentioned above it is very easy to maintain, and very hardy. We used a very similar tile on the kitchen attached. I think the tone of the one you show offsets the kitchen finishes nicely.

I'm deciding on colours for my new build kitchen. I know I want a light grey kitchen with a charcoal worktop but would a dark tile on the floor create a "sandwich" effect and make the room appear small. I can't find many photos of grey kitchens with dark worktop - are there reasons this combination is avoided? Thanks for all advice.

what blue shade would work in North facing kitchen, with a strong warm toned hardwood maple floor? I'd like to pick warm blue that's isn't too on trend. Any advice on a budget counter top replacement please? I'm thinking with a dark blue, like F&B hague Blue, or lighter like stone blue or lighter again.... without being too grey looking. Any advice greatly appreciated. we're going to get it professionally sprayed and alot paint the tiles, probably a warm white.

We are buying a new build property with a kitchen colour matched to Farrow and Ball Hague Blue, we need to decide a paint colour for the entire house before we move in.
