What do you think about the layout? Any recommendations?
Comments (3)Wow, I really like this design and the rest of the house....really has a lovely flow to it and is very bright. My only concern with opening up the original living room to the hallway would be that the existing house is poorly insulated and would leave the front room cold during the winter. I imagine the existing front room as a dynamic room in that the doors to the dining room can be closed, a stove fire turned on and it would be a quiet reading/relaxing zone in the house. Though I must admit...the above example provided is really tempting. thanks Dytecture!...See MoreWhat would you do with this kitchen? Help!
Comments (16)You need some kitchen accessories kettle etc that tie in with the red and also some artwork. The red you have chosen looks on my monitor to be a cool red, perhaps a bit of a warmer shade would help. i would also extend the dining area curtains down to the floor, they will cosy up the space, as would a statement rug to give a bit more life to the room. If your living room is green then it may be nice to have some token green of the same shade, somewhere in the kitchen, a plant or some artwork, and add a bit of the kitchen red to your living room, so that there is some continuity of colour in your home, as opposed to having two separate colour boxes and never the twain shall meet.....See MoreChange fabric on my sofa for spring/summer
Comments (6)Are we talking about a slip-cover, or actual reupholstery? While I think a turquoise sofa would look amazing with your grey walls and white marble floors, it would be a considerable investment that might be too trendy. Case in point; I absolutely LOVED my teal leather sofa in 1990, but by 2000, was so sick of it, and asked myself what the heck was I thinking? Expensive mistake, one which I will never make again. It would be far better to stick to a neutral sofa and buy turquoise pillows, throws, curtains, a rug with some turquoise in it. These are things that could easily and inexpensively be changed out as trends and tastes change....See MoreChanging kitchen
