Need help matching new living room blinds to our furniture

Hi everyone it's my first post, looking forward to hearing from you!

We just got these beautiful roman blinds from Hillary's in Bazaar Porcelain in our sitting room.

They're stunning but I'm not sure they match our dark brown leather sofas too well.
Any suggestions please on how to bring them together?

Otherwise the room is quite bare, it's a small room with plenty of light (so much light in fact that we had to get blackout blinds!)

I think that the Bazaar Porcelain roman shades are so fun! Blue, brown and white most certainly go together so I say go for it! Plus, you wouldn't want a smaller size space to be overly matchy-matchy, maybe get a blue rug for the area that matches the blue in romans and call it a day :)

I feel much happier with my decision to go with those blinds after your lovely feedback :)

I think a blue rug sounds lovely and I could keep it small.

I also need to buy a very small nest of tables and some cushions, any suggestions on colours very welcome!

I would suggest you get some large, leafy green plants in large pots and put one on each side of the fireplace. You also might place a large mirror, framed in silvertone metal, on the wall next to the fireplace and behind the large plant I suggested. The green will bring color, life, and air into the room and will contrast with the dark furniture and the light neutral walls.

Hello CG, you can buy some of these and try them on site. From the pictures you posted I get the feeling you have 2 colors with similar saturation both fighting for attention. It's a little too much. I would keep the green but go softer on the red (i.e rust). You can also let yourself be inspired by the grey/silver/bordeaux floral and stripe pillows to create a brand new color scheme using these colors instead. For example, a very soft gray on the walls, gray carpet, grey/bordeaux combo in the curtains and for the sofa accents, pillows similar to these 2. It's decision time. Go for what speaks to you, but do it with elegance :-)

You can paint the inside of FP opening charcoal and then I would go for a blue/grey and not greige. Those colors tend to be very dark. You have black furnishings and a blue/grey would look very fresh. Your art above FP has blue in it, so replace rug and get some pillows for sofa that will bring in the colors of the painting. Why not just put in some shelves, one big enough to hold tv. That would give a more open concept to room. If you need one enclosed to store components, that would fit also. I would not build up too high on the wall.

From the looks of things, that really is the only place for the sectional. So...can you pull it out just a foot maybe away from the window? Move your tv over the stove if safe to do and try a big plant in that corner where the tv is now. Your painting behind some is way too big for that wall. Move to opposite wall. I would remove the black loves eat and replace with two reading chairs and maybe that end table you have by the sofa. For window treatments I just do not see drapes/curtains working in this room with that sectional.

I would find a few other items - whether throw cushions, art, an ottoman, etc that repeat the blue and brown colours.

Thanks vvandermeer! I was stuck on wondering should I repeat white and blue but it will keep it much simpler if I repeat the blue and brown :)
