Need help with the bedroom

Hi,

I recently paint my bedroom, and looking for to add more “Warm
& Cozy" feeling.

The color of the walls came out (dusty purple). Did not came exactly
what I expected but is quite nice. It used to be white and quite cold.

I also got fur bed cover and thought different curtains, paintings might
help. Would you be able to advice for what curtains would be suitable for this room
and if there is anything else we could do? Thank you in advance !

Start by lowering the picture on the wall to eye level--about 63" off the floor. That will help the look of the room.

I would go with heavier curtains in a darker purple if you can find some that work with the wall color. That would add some drama to the room.

Hmmm . . . I really like the airy, open feel of the room. Adding texture is always a good choice when you're shooting for cozy.

I think you're right about the paintings. They're hard to see in the photo, but I think one is a sea scene and that just doesn't seem to fit. What types of images do you associate with warmth and coziness? That might be a good start for thinking about potential subjects for replacement art.

Hi Con, I just saw your question. I have 3 ideas, il add pictures below. 1 - I love the idea of a platform reading nook with built-in storage at the bottom. 2 - You could build a custom desk and use it as a home office 3 - Have custom built in wardrobes made to fit the space. Your window is a main accent. And you need to make a start from its.

I recommend you to do the follow:

- open your window as much as possible. This will make the room larger;

- decorate the window by asymmetrical or direct curtain (examples are below), starting right from the ceiling. It is best to use a solid color textile;

- if your cabinet is not particularly necessary, I would have replaced it on the floor lamp;

- on the other side, you can fold the high stack of books and use them as a decorative stand;

- make a picture in passe-partout with glass and dark gray baguette frame. Add to it a vertical series of small monochrome photographs (eg sepia), and also complete passe-partout in pastel tones;

- fur pillows should be replaced by textile pillows with dark gray graphic pattern;

- it will be better the other pictures on the walls to remove
