Help with my new console please!

Hi all, just bought a new console for the hallway and trying to decorate. Any suggestions for what works/ doesn't work? I am thinking of putting large wicker baskets underneath the table to hide the radiator and also considering whether or not to hang the mirror on the wall instead of lying on the table. Any suggestions much appreciated! Thank you.

It doesn't look like the entrance door will open fully. Also, the console table juts out too far and the accessories seem out of place. I'd return it. Maybeputting the mirror on the wall with a shelf under it would work. Consider changing out the wood blind for a Roman shade or top down/bottom up shade. Personally, I wouldn't worry about covering up the rad. Add a pretty rug too.

Beautiful items! Can you take the mirror back and get one the length of the window? If so, hang it on the wall. Possible change the blinds to white. Do have a collection of items to display. Here other ways to decorate console:

Since you are keeping the flooring, everything new has to be in relation to the floor. Do you have a photo of the floor? Hold up samples of the cabinet paint and see if it enhances the flooring. You might need a more cream paint on cabinet and see these dark knobs. Some of the marble-type have many gray streaks. I'd look for something with brown-beige streaks to enhance the beige grout and beige floor tilehttps://www.houzz.com/photos/traditional-bathroom-traditional-bathroom-phvw-vp~93581 The back splash I'd do in the same "marble" as the counters b/c if you match the beige grout of the floors, with the subway tile, the back splash tile will look odd and if you use a white grout on the subway tile, it will look odd with the floors, too.

Seeing it as an almost whole, I do think now that I like the soft, patterned curtain for the room. It could become overly severe, and that would be enough to stop that happening. Second thought, you don't need a side table for the sectional, but you do need something there to hold a lamp -- silver or glass would probably be best. The stand could be very plain, a box shape, even, in the same finish as the wood you already have. I liked these from wayfair.com -- though I might change the shades on a couple of them. Not that they're bad. The last one is an alternative approach if you fancy a bit of colour a-poppin'.

Thanks for the comments. The blinds are all the same throughout the house (and match the doors) so it would be a bigger job than just changing these blinds I think. I really like the table so would be reluctant to return it.

See if you can put the table behind your living room sofa. It's cramping your entrance there.
