Comments (0)Is it OK to place a sliding door at the bottom of a stairs to minimise the draft from a hallway? The stairs forks off at a 90 degree angle halfway down a long hallway, you don't see it when looking down the hallway, the first step is flush with the hallway's right wall, the sliding door therefore would be placed on the side wall of the hallway, sliding either left or right and not impinging on the hallway. The stairs itself is bricked walled each side so is enclosed in its own space. I wondering if placing a sliding door will go against any building regulations.
