Kitchen walls and tiles

I just got my kitchen cabinets sprayed in f&b wimborne white. Any suggestions on what colour to go for on walls (paint and tiles)? I'd love to go with dark grey paint but worried my north facing kitchen couldn't carry it off. Also there is a large wall on opposite side with no cupboards or shelving, so dark grey might be a bit intense for that.

Find your tiles first, and then decide on the paint, because you can have it exactly matched.

When we brought our house it had parquet in the kitchen, Before weIt has made had an opportunity to seal it our dishwasher flooded & they poped up. I recommend that u carefully research using it in a wet area before committing to it.

I'd hold off painting your table. Do all your painting first. I'm suggesting this because I think it helps to balance the room out to have some of that wood tone on the other side. A compromise would be to leave the top alone and paint everything else. Also. Get rid on any red accents, de-clutter the counter (so you can see your new backsplash and also get some pretty dishes in the blue/green color and put them in the cabinet with the glass doors. Also get new dish towels to hang on oven door handle. Please post some pics when you get done-excited!

Hi Louise, Lovely new kitchen, such a lovely bright space too. I would suggest going a couple of shades darker than the kitchen furniture colour so you get a contrast to the furniture and flooring. This will help keep it on a neutral palette so your other furniture and accessories are not competing with too many colours. Also as your room as so much natural light you can go for a slightly stronger wall colour and it will look superb. the photo below shows a very cool grey wall you could go for a warmer grey but it give you an idea of what you could do. Painting the walls can always be changed relatively easily, so if you want a change after a few years you can and it's a lot less costly than a new kitchen!
