Need help in picking curtains and roman blind for my kitchen

I have walnut floors, cream kitchen presses and granite work top which is black, peachy, taupe colour. Looking for curtains that are luxurious and compliment the colouring in the kitchen. I like velvets, silks, damask want a bit of drama!!

11 years agoSomething like this might be to your liking. The shimmery gray fabric would be particularly nice with your stone. I would also suggest a less modern counter stool if you wish to hang richly embellished window treatments.

Comments (4)What is your budget? I am partial to blinds from Lutron that provide privacy and a view and have battery operated controls for automated operation for retrofits but they are pricy. Hunter Douglas has a fabulous selection of window coverings and then there are always options such as JC Penny's. Comments (38)A soft mossy or grey green would be my first impulse but Sarah's dark blue looks good. It depends on your kitchen ware. White porcelains will pop with the blue and earthy stoneware will go more with the soft greens. Comments (8)Hi. Your kitchen to me looks large, certainly big enough for a table and maybe some seating (from what I can see in the pic anyway!). I personally wouldn't knock through unless rooms were small and needed space for furniture. I cook a lot and would hate the smell travelling, the noise and the mess etc. if the house has 2 living areas it's also nice for family members to have their own space at times. That's just my opinion though and what works for me and not you! ! Have you looked at pics where people have done the same thing with similar size rooms? Or is there anyone in the road with a similar house? Re paint, are you painting the units or just the walls? I would probably change the kitchen floor regardless if you knock through as its absorbing some of the light....See More
