Would appreciate any ideas for "dressing" my newly painted sideboard in my entrance hallway. I'm not sure what proportions to use for vase / lamp / other ornament to work with the art hanging over the sideboard. Any advice appreciated.
Great artwork! I would paint the frame black though. For the sideboard, a vase in a coordinating color about 2/3 of the way up and that's it to keep it clean and simple.
Nice art but a bit too large for this spot. See how the frame is above your door frame. If it were mine, since the door appears to open into the next room, I'd consider modifying the sideboard to be used as a rad cover and lower the art so its center is 5' above the floor. It can stand on its own, and you can paint the frame the same color as the sideboard to unify them and the space. You might also add an art light that attaches to the piece for more evening interest.

Thank you for your feedback - it is good to hear unbiased views. I am planning on a rad cover and also changing the drawer & door fittings on the sideboard to a brushed steel finish.
Any other ideas to finish the space - it's feeling a bit 'empty' to me? Attaching a couple of more photos to better show the hallway dimensions and layout. The entrance is double height, with stairs (burgundy red carpet) to the right. All suggestions appreciated.
My thoughts were the same, art work is too big for the area. Could you put it elsewhere? You also need a carpet at the front door. Do you have anything around the house you could try on the cabinet?
