Generally we find our clients look for furniture that is flexible and can be configured in multiple ways. Obviously long life and ability to resist the elements are paramount.
Your best bet will be somewhere like Tilestyle, their range is enormous and they may be able to source it for you if it is not in stock
You may want to approach one of the maker spaces that are located in your area. What you're describing is interesting and you may find this a cost effective way to obtain something unique and 'handmade' using laser cutting tools or the like.
True, not ideal, any options to move the furniture around or are you too tight on space?
2 seater fits in exactly into the space by the door, as that side of the room comes in, and the 4 seater then takes up much of the wall, just haven't been able to think of anything bar the top left corner where the light is and the fireplace.
We have used Tegral thrutone panels on a number of projects - the results look very good and a reasonably skilled builder can install them as a rain screen on a project like your own.
A further option may be to over clad again in timber slats which increases the richness of the surface treatment.
I had the same dilemma, so opted for cedar shingles, capped with aluminium profile in grey to match the glazing. There is also a dormer on the other side of the house, with cedar shingle cladding. These have now been treated with Osmo UV oil to preserve the colour, as they'd already started to fade after a month or two.
From a developer's l perspective basements can be a nightmare to build (and very costly)! We do normally try to incorporate them and the trend in London is to build mega basements. In most of our developments the basement will house the plant equipment so is a necessity but we have also built basements for clients that contain cinema rooms & games rooms. If you're thinking about doing a basement just make sure you check your costings!
